Your experience comes first

Before confirming, we discuss your confidence on piste and your experience on ungroomed snow. The programme depends on every participant’s ability.

Discovery: is it suitable for my first outing?

Yes. This introductory lesson lets you experience ungroomed snow for the first time and find out whether you enjoy off-piste skiing. No off-piste experience is needed, but you should already feel comfortable on piste. We discuss your level before confirming, then work on basic techniques and safety procedures on terrain suited to the conditions. A 3-hour half-day offers an introduction; a 6-hour day allows more time to practise. The same prices apply according to duration and group size, from 1 to 5 people. A helmet, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and backpack are mandatory for each participant.

Which lesson should I choose?

Off-piste sessions welcome 1 to 5 people. Every participant’s ability and conditions are discussed before confirmation.

Where and when do we meet?

We agree a meeting point in Grimentz-Zinal and a start time to suit your ability and chosen programme.

How is the 6-hour day organised?

Let me know your preferred times. We will agree how the 6-hour day and lunch break are organised before confirming the lesson.

What else should I budget for?

Prices cover the lesson for your chosen duration and group size. We will clarify any lift pass, equipment hire and meal requirements and costs before you confirm.

What equipment do I need for off-piste skiing?

Each participant must have a helmet, avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and backpack. Please mention any equipment hire needs in your enquiry. The programme is adapted to the group’s ability and conditions.

How do I confirm and pay?

After Luc confirms your booking in writing, the details needed to pay are sent to you directly. Cash in CHF on site and bank transfers are available as agreed with Luc. Payment details are sent to you after your booking is confirmed. Your confirmation states the amount and payment deadline; the enquiry form does not take any payment.

Payment information
What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the lesson. Less than 48 hours before the lesson, or in the event of a no-show, the full amount remains payable and is non-refundable. The lesson will be rescheduled or refunded if the lifts required for the lesson are not operating. For off-piste skiing, the session will be rescheduled or adapted to an on-piste lesson when the official SLF bulletin reaches level 4− or higher, or if the instructor considers local conditions unsafe.

What does the Flex Option include?

The Flex Option costs 15% of the lesson price. It allows cancellation or rescheduling up to the scheduled lesson time, provided you notify Luc on WhatsApp before the start. The lesson amount is then converted into non-transferable credit valid for 12 months, subject to availability. The option itself is non-refundable and permits one rescheduling. A no-show without notice or a request received after the start time remains fully payable.
